'Some cultures, including China regard Fox to have God like powers of shape shifting into human form. In North American traditions, fox is the fire bringer and possesses healing abilities.'

Arctic Fauna: There are about 20 species of land animals in the Arctic, including Polar bear, Arctic fox, wolf, moose, caribou, reindeer etc. The Arctic fox or snow fox is native to the Arctic regions and found throughout the Arctic tundra biome. 

Arctic Flora: Approximately 1700 species of plants live on the Arctic tundra. From flowering plants to herbs, shrubs, grasses, mosses and lichens. I have incorporated some of these Arctic tundra flowers (like the Arctic Alpine 'Forget me not' and Pasque flower) into the paintings to put the focus on the environment and the gentle ecosystems in nature and all living beings equally important.
