"Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water; after enlightenment, chop wood, carry water." - Zen Kōan. A metaphor that originated in Zen Buddhism and used to emphasize the importance of focusing on the present moment and performing everyday tasks.
For me too, the old wood shed represents the changing Seasons. A full shed for a good Winter ahead and knowing one's basic needs are fulfilled. A warm and cosy home.
