Little Journeys
Giving old ghost images a second life.
In 2008, I took part in my very first New Zealand group show at ArtsPost Hamilton. These little cards were made from that collection so the full story could stay together. After hanging on my studio wall for years, the standard print inks slowly faded into quiet blue and yellow ghosts.
Rather than let them fade away, I brought them back to the easel. Instead of recreating the original colours, I gave them a fresh, painterly journey, building rich new layers while leaving subtle glimpses of the past underneath.
